My Epic Journey

EPIC Senior Sunday is quickly approaching. It is June 7^th during the morning services. We LOVE to honor our seniors.

If you are a senior and you are interested in attending, this is what we need though from you:

• 3 Pictures of Senior (as a baby, child, senior)
• Full Name of Senior (i.e. Ryan Gabriel Smith)
• Parent’s Full Names (i.e. Ken and Tamara Smith)
• Graduating High School (i.e. Brown County High School)
• Next Step for Student—Job or College (i.e. Liberty University—study psychology or youth pastor)
• If your student is Valedictorian we would like to know that as well.

This past weekend we kicked off our series called, ORIGINS.  We are taking a fresh look at the first few chapters in Genesis.  We had a great time discussing the Creation account.  We even got to color and play with Play-do.

I would like to remind you that we are wanting you to look for creation moments this week and to journal them.  Perhaps you write them down, put them to song, turn it into poetry or draw it.  What ever you do, take a moment to reflect on God’s creation and write it down.  Bring those on Sunday (plus any artwork you did this past Sunday) so we can put those all together for an EPIC Origins Journal (Scrapbook). 

Just so you know, I am doing it as well.  As I sat in my car on Sunday night I had everything turned off so I listened, for about 30 minutes, to the sound of the rain on my rooftop.  I then wrote a poem!!!  I will share it with you on Sunday. 

This week we will be discussing Man and Woman.  Why did God have to create both? How did He create us differently?  And how are we to work together to complete each other?

Remember to bring your Bible and your ORIGINS journal.  If you don’t have one, pick one up!

We are looking to add monthly middle school events to the EPIC calendar. Every 2^nd Saturday of the month will be our Middle School only event date so please mark those on your calendar.

The first one we are planning is Middle School May-hem. Here is the information for the event:

• When: May 9^th
• Time: 6:00 pm-8:00 pm
• Where: Grace Point Community Church
• What: Controlled Mass Chaos and the World’s Longest Sundae
• Cost: $5.00 (for pizza and ice cream)
• Important info: Please wear messy clothes. Your clothes will be messy!!!!!
• Bring friends!

We will have a sign-up sheet at the EPIC table. Please encourage your teen to sign-up themselves and their friends.
