Where: Grace Point Community Church

Who: ALL EPIC Students

Cost: FREE!!!

What to bring: A gift (wrapped) under $5.00 for a gift exchange. Friends. Something to eat (See list below).

With my mom and my aunt taking pictures like crazy I felt like we were being stalked by the paparazzi but it was a lot of fun.

At Grace Point, Terry stresses the importance of TEAMWORK.  Whether it is our Pastor Pow-Wows, or staff meetings, base coach (ministry team) meetings or elder’s meetings, the word “TEAMWORK” seems to always come up.  But not only does Terry stress the word, he practices it as well and that makes all the difference. 

But it doesn’t stop there!  I have an AMAZING group of EPIC leaders who I LOVE more than they will ever know.  I love them because we work well as a team because we are friends working toward a common goal–changing the lives of students!!!

So in honor of Terry and as a thanks for being such GREAT team leader and to show my appreciate to my EPIC leaders, I thought I would post this video I found on TEAMWORK.  Hope you enjoy!!!

Frosty the Snowman

Choose a few students to compete up front to see who can build the best snowman. The only supplies they can have are a bag of marshmallows, some white cake frosting to use like glue and some toothpicks to reinforce their snowman. You can download a “Frosty The Snowman” song from iTunes to play while students construct their snowmen. Whoever builds the best snowman by the time the song stops is the winner. Let the crowd decide who built the best snowman.

I believe we will be in the far left youth group area. 

The cost of this Man Camp is $10.00.  The cost covers camping, snacks and breakfast.

Saturday morning we will head over to the Smith’s house to help a neighbor load up a moving truck and then get our fill of pizza.

1.  Find a GREAT book.

Look for a great book to read, maybe even a series.  Nothings better to escape the mundane rut than to get into a great story.  Here is a good list to start from:

2.  Make a fun movie

Get together with some friends and a video camera and make a movie or a series of movies that you can show to your friends.  Create a movie night each week when you invite your friends over for some popcorn and a special showing of the premiere of your movie.

3.  Plan a neighborhood block party

Once again, grab some friends from the neighborhood and plan a party for all the teens in your neighborhood.  Come up with crazy games, funny skits and maybe pull some money together an supply some freeze pops.

4.  Serve at the church

Lastly, find a way to get involved at the church.  I know I am always looking for new ideas and help and to have a team to pull this off makes it fun and easy.

Instead of just sitting around this summer, do something out of the ordinary and make it a summer to remember!!!!
