My Epic Journey

Just found out that one of our EPIC students, Hunter Laughlin,

is heading out to Vail, CO to compete in the Junior Olympics.  He qualified at a regional race in Marquette, MI and now he and dad, Rob–one of our EPIC volunteer staff, are on the way to compete against 92 boys and 68 girls, in this very prestigious event.

Just for fun, here is the schedule of events for Hunter over the next week:

Please be in prayer for him.  I would love to see Hunter succeed in this.

Just finished one of the most AMAZING weekends I have had in my student ministry career.  I want to say “thanks” to Pastor Terry and the staff for all the support this weekend, to the parents for jumping in and volunteering, to the EPIC leaders–I can’t say enough to express my thanks and love for you guys!!!!

I also want to thank the group that really made this thing work–the EPIC students.  You guys stepped up in absolutely incredible ways.  The buzz on your campuses, the energy at the event and concern for your peers is contagious.  Man, I am in love with you guys!!!

Nate is a great friend of both my wife and I and we had the pleasure while at Crossroads to have him as our worship leader in the high school ministry.  If you have a myspace.com account I would encourage you to get on and listen to the birth of his new album which is in the works.
