Bands You MUST Listen To

I have two bands that I feel blessed to have heard and be able to tell the world about. Before I name the bands I want to tell ou why I love these bands so much. Both bands have a love for God that is incredibly contagious–more contagious than even the lyrics of their songs. But their music is not overly preachy. Now don’t get me wrong–I am not saying it doesn’t have a great message–in fact just the opposite. The message to their music is deep and challenging but is brought in such a relevant and loving way that I and most students I know have fallen in love with their music.

Okay–so let me just get to the bands. One I have known for years the other is a new band.

the First band–not by love–but by appreciation is Broken Yoke. Broken Yoke hails from Lima, OH. Though they have been around for awhile their music is fresh, uplifting, and challenging all the while being relevant as well. This band is definitely a MUST hear.

the Second band is absolutely amazing–Beauty Strikes Back. They also hail from the state of OH. To miss out on hearing this band is like being blind and standing in front of the Mona Lisa–tragedy!! You can not only hear this band but even see them in concert at our Super Bowl halftime show on my MySpace page. Absolutely amazing.
